Dr H.R. Mhlongo obtained a PhD degree in Curriculum and Instructional Studies in 2017 from the University of Zululand. She currently serves as a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instructional Stuidies. She does research in Language education; and reading and writing literacy. She has published articles, presented papers in National and International conferences. She also supervises Masters and PhD students registered in the the Department of Curriculum and Instructional Studies.
