Dr Nonhle Zuma Mthembu-Ngema holds a Doctoral degree in isiZulu Home and English Additional Language Education, BA Hons (IsiZulu Home Language) and BEd Hons (Educational Management) from the University of Zululand. She obtained her Master’s degree (IsiZulu Language Teaching) from the University of Stellenbosch. She currently serves as a Senior Lecturer for the Arts and languages Education Department at the Faculty of Education.

She holds a Doctoral degree in isiZulu Home and English Additional Language Education, BA Hons (IsiZulu Home Language) and BEd Hons (Educational Management) from the University of Zululand. She obtained her Master’s degree (IsiZulu Language Teaching) from the University of Stellenbosch.

Research interests: 

isiZulu linguistics, language education, communication, literature and media studies. She is a co-author of isiZulu academic and grammar text books; and author of bilingual isiZulu home and English additional language module guides.
