Dr V. S. Xulu obtained a Doctoral degree in the Foundations of Education (Philosophy of Education) in 2004 from the University of Zululand. He joined the Faculty of Education in 2017 and currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Management.

Research interests: 

His niche is on researching Foundations of Education premised on Citizenship Education, Democratic Education, Social Justice and Human Rights. He also supervises Masters and Doctoral Research projects in this area of the Foundations of Education.
